Welcome Team Spain to Young Chef Olympiad

Spanish cuisine as opposed to other national cuisines in Europe, is heavily influenced by regional cuisines and the particular historical processes that shaped culture and society in those territories. Geography and climate, had great influence in cooking methods and available ingredients, and this particularities are still present in the gastronomy of the various regions that make up the country. Spanish cuisine derives from a complex history, were invasions of the country and conquests of new territories modified traditions and made new ingredients available.

About Young Chef Olympiad

Young Student Chefs from 67+ nations after getting selected from different colleges from 67+ nations, will fly down to India on 26th January (67th republic day for India) to represent their country in a cook-off that will last 4 days starting 29th January to 1st February. The results will be collated and the Grand Finale is scheduled on Monday 1st February 2015 at Kolkata.

I am a third year student and ambassador at Les Roches Marbella from New Delhi, India aiming for a bachelor´s degree in International Hotel Management. My niche for culinary arts and customer service makes me extremely passionate for hospitality. My inclination towards different cultures, food, writing and arts nurtures my craving for traveling and experiencing the unique things the world has to offer. With the aim of opening my own hospitality entity one day, I am looking forward to learning and making the best out of this experience in India at YCO.
